IUD Removals & Insertions
Why an IUD?
IUD’s are used around the world as primary birth control options. They are 99% effective in preventing pregnancy and Copper IUDs are over 99% effective as an emergency contraceptive up to 7 days after unprotected sex. IUD’s give 5-10 years of protection and once removed, fertility returns. They are cost effective, and once in place, offer couples greater protection without the hassle of condoms or side effects of hormones like the birth control pill. There are two types of IUDs available in Canada, Copper IUDs and Progesterone releasing IUDs.

IUD insertions have been known to be painful and stressful for women. This does not need to be the case. At Noursh Health Clinic, local freezing is administered and prophylactic medications are given to aid in more comfortable, smoother IUD insertions.

Food Sensitivity Testing
If you are interested in discussing options for IgG food sensitivity testing, RN Patricia is able to screen, educate and take a blood sample if indicated. After we receive your results our RN or one of our physicians will review the results with you and build an individualized treatment plan to explore removing and reintroducing any potential food sensitivities
Hormone Health Screening & testing
For those interested in learning more about their hormonal health, and methods to test, RN Patricia will complete your intake and consult with one of our physicians about testing options. Options include blood work, salivary testing, or DUTCH urine treating. All follow up and treatment recommendations will be discussed at follow up with one of our functional medicine physicians.
Healthy Living Assesments
For years now people have to come our clinic for a variety of concerns. Hormones, allergies, depression, anxiety, ADHD, thyroid disorders, cancer and so many more, but we also often meet people that are looking for information to help guide their own research and decision making process to improve their current health, but also be proactive for their future health.
We are now excited to offer Healthy Living Assessments and Intakes! The intake starts with an in office meeting with RN Patricia to complete your health history, biometrics, blood pressure reading and to offer testing options. We can then refer you to a lab for testing or offer in office blood draws to gather the data which will then be reviewed with yourself and one of our Naturopathic Physicians.
