Dr. Emily Pratt received a B.Sc in Biology from the University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George, B.C. She then worked with as a biologist in Kitimat, B.C. before completing her naturopathic medical training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, B.C. Dr. Pratt started in private practice in Kelowna and Vernon in 2012, but since 2013 Dr. Pratt has been working with the Pure North S’Energy Foundation – a chronic disease prevention program that uses research-based nutritional supplements as part of Canada’s largest primary prevention focused not-for-profit organization – in remote communities and underserved populations throughout BC and Alberta.
Dr. Pratt chose to pursue a career in Naturopathic Medicine because she believes that each person is a unique individual and his or her health concerns are specific to their physiology. Dr. Pratt’s private practice is focused on, but not limited to, integrative dermatology, hormone balancing, fertility support, thyroid and adrenal health, integrative cancer care, autoimmune disease, digestive health, chronic pain and chronic disease. Dr. Pratt uses a variety of modalities in her practice and has completed additional training in prescribing pharmaceuticals, bio-identical hormone replacement, intravenous therapies, neural-prolotherapy for chronic pain and neural therapy for pain & scar treatments.
Dr. Pratt’s goal is to provide you with both naturopathic and conventional treatment options in an individualized, compassionate and comprehensive way in order to best support your health care needs.
Dr. Brittany Schamerhorn, ND maintains a general practice with a passion for supporting women with their health and hormones. Helping them go from tired, stressed and feeling victim to their hormones to energized, balanced and in control. From addressing concerns such as PMS, PCOS, and endometriosis to providing support during fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause, her aim is to help women to feel vibrant, resilient, and energized throughout every phase and transition of life.
She works hard to provide realistic, comprehensive and evidence-based care for her patients where they feel listened to and respected. She believes that through education doctors can play an important role in supporting and empowering patients to achieve their health goals. During an appointment, she will listen to your unique story and conduct a thorough health history, a focused physical exam and laboratory testing (if necessary). She will then recommend an individual treatment plan that may include a combination of pharmaceutical drugs, herbs, acupuncture, diet and lifestyle counselling, and nutritional supplementation.
She obtained her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (now CCNM-Boucher) where she obtained the clinical excellence award upon graduation. Dr. Schamerhorn is a member of The Menopause Society (previously North American Menopause Society - NAMS) and is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). As an educator she provides talks to both the public and other healthcare professionals. She has educated clinicians and was previously an instructor at the Naturopathic Medical School in Vancouver. She has completed multiple additional trainings focusing in both general health and women’s health, including training in hormone therapy and lactation/breastfeeding.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Schamerhorn can be found adventuring outside with her young family. She can usually be found with a coffee in hand and too many books on the go. After growing up in Kelowna she is excited to be practicing and supporting the Okanagan community.
Dr. Imlah is a Family Physician who completed her BSc, MSc, and MD at the University of British Columbia. She has worked in both rural and urban centers, serving as the Medical Director of a health foundation with over 42,000 clients. Additionally, she has operated her own Integrative Medicine Clinic and worked in Urgent Care/ER settings.
Dr. Imlah's primary focus has always been on overall wellness and the prevention of chronic diseases. She is a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine.
In today's world, we no longer wait for chronic diseases to manifest, we instead want to prevent it from happening. Dr. Imlah firmly believes that understanding where you are on the continuum of healthy aging is the key to longevity. She is passionate about meeting individuals at their current stage in their health journey and helping them focus on their goals.
Patricia is a Registered Nurse, Educator, mother, wife, trail runner, adventure seeker & lover of healthy eats, as well as a transformational health coach. She has worked as an RN in many areas over the last 25 years and currently is our primary nurse in our IV suite.
Patricia aims to inspire & support clients with the intention of preventing illness & improving health. She is passionate Women’s Health and supporting women of all ages through compassionate, thorough and inspiring discussions. children at our center, providing a foundation for life-long health.
