At Nourish Health Clinic in Kelowna, BC, we believe good healthcare begins with understanding the individual—not simply treating a diagnosis or chasing symptoms.
Our naturopathic doctors and nurses combine evidence-based natural and conventional medicine, laboratory testing, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and prescription medications when appropriate.
While we care for patients with a wide range of health concerns, we have developed particular areas of focus where our experience, training, and treatment options allow us to provide comprehensive, individualized care.
Hormones influence nearly every system in the body. Changes throughout the reproductive years, perimenopause, and menopause can affect sleep, mood, cognition, body composition, menstrual cycles, sexual health, bone health, and overall quality of life.
We provide individualized assessment and treatment for concerns including:
Perimenopause and menopause
Menstrual cycle changes
Hot flashes and night sweats
Sleep changes
Mood and cognitive changes
PCOS
Thyroid concerns
Hormone-related changes in weight and body composition
Sexual and vaginal health
When appropriate, treatment may include laboratory assessment, nutrition and lifestyle interventions, evidence-informed supplements, and prescription hormone therapy.
Our goal is not simply to “balance hormones,” but to understand your symptoms, health history, risk factors, and goals and determine which treatment options are appropriate for you.
Weight regulation is complex.
Genetics, hormones, insulin resistance, medications, sleep, stress, appetite regulation, nutrition, activity, muscle mass, and the brain's regulation of hunger and satiety can all influence body weight.
Our approach focuses on improving health—not simply making the number on the scale smaller.
Assessment may include metabolic and cardiovascular health, glucose regulation, thyroid and hormone health, nutrition, body composition, sleep, medications, and other factors affecting weight.
Treatment may incorporate nutrition and lifestyle strategies, resistance exercise and muscle preservation, behavioural support, and prescription weight-management medications when clinically appropriate.
For appropriate patients, this may include GLP-1 or related medications as part of a medically supervised treatment plan.
Our goal is sustainable improvement in metabolic health, body composition, function, and long-term health.
Mental and physical health are deeply interconnected.
Nourish provides individualized integrative care for mental wellness and offers Exomind rTMS as an additional treatment option for appropriate patients.
Exomind uses repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), a non-invasive technology that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate targeted areas of the brain involved in mood and emotional regulation.
Exomind holds Health Canada medical device licence 111940. Canadian indications described in the manufacturer's product information include major depressive disorder following inadequate antidepressant response, associated anxiety symptoms, adjunctive treatment of adult obsessive-compulsive disorder, and binge eating disorder.
Exomind treatment is designed to complement—not replace—appropriate medical, psychological, or psychiatric care.
Every patient is assessed individually before treatment.
You don't need to wait until something is wrong to pay attention to your health.
The Nourish Baseline Health Assessment is designed for people who want a comprehensive understanding of their current health and a clearer strategy for prevention.
Rather than offering the same laboratory panel to everyone, we individualize testing based on your health history, age, family history, medications, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals.
Assessment may include:
Cardiovascular risk factors
Blood pressure and body composition
Blood sugar and metabolic health
Cholesterol and lipid markers
Thyroid function
Iron status
Vitamin and nutrient status
Liver and kidney health
Relevant hormone assessment
Family and personal risk factors
Sleep, nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle
Once the results are available, we review what they mean, identify areas that deserve attention, and develop a personalized plan for improving and monitoring your health.

IUDs are used around the world as primary birth control options. They are 99% effective in preventing pregnancy and Copper IUDs are over 99% effective as an emergency contraceptive up to 7 days after unprotected sex. IUD’s give 5-10 years of protection and once removed, fertility returns. They are cost effective, and once in place, offer couples greater protection without the hassle of condoms or side effects of hormones like the birth control pill. There are two types of IUDs available in Canada, Copper IUDs and Progesterone-releasing IUDs.
IUD insertions have been known to be painful and stressful for women. This does not need to be the case. At Nourish Health Clinic, local freezing is administered and prophylactic medications are given to aid in more comfortable, smoother IUD insertions.
**Please note IUD Insertions/Removals at Nourish Health Clinic are not covered by MSP, but can be covered by your extended health benefits
If you would like to know more about IUD Insertions & Removals please call the office 778-478-0048

Intravenous iron may be appropriate for patients with confirmed iron deficiency when oral supplementation has been ineffective, poorly tolerated, or otherwise unsuitable.
Assessment and appropriate laboratory testing are required before treatment.

We provide IUD counselling, insertion, and removal in our Kelowna clinic, including discussion of available options, potential benefits, risks, and whether an IUD is appropriate for you.

Preventative women's health services may include cervical screening, sexual and reproductive health discussions, contraception, and individualized assessment based on age and medical history.

Patients may also see our naturopathic doctors for individualized assessment of digestive health, thyroid concerns, fatigue, fertility, nutritional concerns, and other health issues.
When appropriate, care may incorporate conventional laboratory testing, functional testing, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, natural therapies, and prescription medications.

You don't need to know which test, treatment, or program you need before coming to see us - That's our job.
Start with an appointment, tell us what's going on and what you would like to improve, and we'll help determine which assessment and treatment options make sense for you.
